Logo and Print Ad Designer
ABC Cachets was interested in going online with its collection, starting with a website that would eventually lead to a shopping cart. While Al Boerger’s cachets had become iconic amongst collectors in the second half of the 20th century, there was no one logo to match the brand.
I worked with the collection’s owner and developed something that maintained the feel of Al’s artwork merged with a modern aesthetic. Once I finished the logo and the new brand, I created the business card, so the new owners could represent ABC Cachets at stamp conventions nationally.
Stamp collectors love their print. Given the demographic of many of the older collectors, they would need a little persuading to check out ABC Cachets’ catalogue online.
Over the years, I made a wide variety of print ads, typically using actual art from the cachets made by Al Boerger himself.
Published in sever trade magazines, these helped drive traffic to ABC Cachets, especially online, helping them sell over 1,000 items in only a few years.
